A VISION IN MY LIVING ROOM SETS THE STAGE FOR MORE FINANCES
I was walking through my living room, and suddenly, I saw (in a vision) my husband talking to a group of men in a meeting. These men needed a person to solve their problem. These men seemed to want to get to know my husband. In the vision, the outcome of the meeting seemed to be that this group of men invited him to be part of their team—to work with them. I told my husband what I saw.
“A vision is an experience in the life of a person, whereby a special revelation from God was received.”
At that time, my husband had no projects going on. Three weeks later, he was invited to a men’s meeting. It was a business meeting that led him to be part of a team of home builders. That meeting was pivotal to our decision-making and finances. The vision in my living room helped us. My husband could have missed the opportunity had he not gone to that men’s meeting. Instead, he was meeting the right people at the right time, at the right place. Praise the Lord! God is good! God can show us things to come. God can reveal His will and purpose for our lives and the lives of others.
By the way, visions are biblical! Let me give you my version of Cornelius and Peter’s adventure in Acts 10. Of course, reading the whole story ( Acts 10 ) would be best.
In Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius … he saw clearly in a vision… saying to him … “Your prayers and your alms have come up as a memorial before God. Now send men to Joppa, and bring back Simon whose surname is Peter. He is lodging in a house by the sea. He will tell you what you must do.” From Acts 10:1-6 MEV
Did you see that? God gave Cornelius a vision, a message, and instructions. That’s awesome. Look what happened next!
Peter is staying in Joppa and also has a vision. Peters sees a blanket coming down from Heaven full of animals that (in his culture) he was not allowed to eat. In the vision, God said to Peter, “Eat!” Peter doesn’t want to. It doesn’t seem proper to him to do that. The vision had in it a controversial message. It was about to take Peter out of his comfort zone. God explains to Peter the meaning of the vision … Peter is now ready to talk to Cornelius’ men when they arrive.

In the meantime, Cornelius is sending men to Joppa to bring Peter to his house. The men get there and talk to Peter. Peter leaves with them. The outcome? Peter preaches the Gospel to Cornelius and his family. They give their lives to Jesus. That’s the beginning of an entire community and more lives to be changed.
We must learn to hear God’s voice and pay attention to what He wants to do.
I hope I am encouraging you to learn more about the Gifts of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12: 8-10. Ask God to activate visions, dreams, and more. God can use any of us if we are willing to step out. Would you say yes to God?
